Emmy-winning producer Steven Bochco delivers another gripping legal drama about a crop of newly minted law school graduates who are longtime friends but find themselves working on opposite sides of the system. As a lawyer in the district attorney's office, Michelle Emhardt (Melissa Sagemiller) focuses on bringing the guilty to justice. But as a public defender, Jerry Kellerman (Mark-Paul Gosselaar) uses his skills to protect the innocent.
