A poor taxi driver (Aamir Khan) meets, falls in love with and marries the daughter (Karishma Kapoor) of a rich industrialist (Suresh Oberoi). But her family's disdain for the match and the taxi driver's own insecurities threaten to tear the lovers apart forever. If their love is to survive, they'll have to follow their hearts. Dharmesh Darshan directs this award-winning film featuring the song "Pardesi Pardesi" by Nadeem and Shravan.
