An overly imaginative young man named Mohit Kumar (Arvind Swamy) meets the girl of his dreams when he rescues the mysterious Manisha (Manisha Koirala) from drowning in a lake near his village. When he learns she's living in nearby Bombay, Mohit sets off to win her hand and inexplicably finds himself connected to a baby elephant believed to be the incarnation of Lord Ganesh.
