A long-standing family feud and fate separate a young couple in this twisty Indian yarn. After her father discovers her affair with his sworn enemy's son, Manu (Dharmendra), he forces his daughter, Janki (Hema Malini), into an arranged marriage with Police Superintendent Dhirendra Singh (Rajesh Khanna). When the bride is kidnapped on her wedding day, Manu kills Janki's abductor to save her -- and ends up sentenced to life in prison.
