In this series' mix of drama, romance and humor, the London private investigative business of best friends Jeff Randall (Mike Pratt) and Marty Hopkirk (Kenneth Cope) seems over when Marty is killed in a hit-and-run accident. But his ghost returns (visible only to Jeff) to find his killer, leaving a luckless Jeff to handle Marty's devotion to -- and jealousy of -- his wife (Annette Andre), who struggles with his death while becoming a detective.
