This Masterpiece Theatre adaptation of the Daphne du Maurier novel stars Emilia Fox as a young, middle-class girl who meets aging aristocrat Maxim De Winter as he's still grieving over his wife, Rebecca, who died a year earlier. The two impulsively decide to get married and enjoy a blissful romance -- until they return to Maxim's estate and the new Mrs. De Winter finds that Rebecca still has a strange hold on everyone there. Diana Rigg co-stars.
