Ian Rankin's famed literary detective, John Rebus (Ken Stott), springs to life in these first two episodes of the BBC mystery series, which have Rebus scrambling to uncover a murderer and puzzling over a missing-person mystery. In "The Falls," Rebus tracks a vengeful killer who's been stalking members of a prominent family. In "Fleshmarket Close," Rebus and Clarke investigate the case of a missing woman in a poor immigrant community.
