Red Lights Ahead

  (1936)
Pa Wallace (Roger Imhof) is given the chance to invest $5,000 in a gold mine by Whitney (Sam Flint), the head of his local fraternal order. Ma Wallace (Lucile Gleason) is ardently opposed to the scheme but is outvoted (outshouted, really) by the four slacker Wallace children. Money begins to pour in but not as fast as the kids can blow it. Their bubble bursts, however, when the police arrest Whitney as a swindler involved in a pyramid scheme.
