After his dreams of the big time die, failed race car driver-turned-auto mechanic Jim (Chad McQueen) turns to petty theft. When crime boss Keller (Jan-Michael Vincent) gets wind of Jim's exploits, he traps him into using his skills to steal a mysterious Corvette. But rival gangster Lawrence (Michael Madsen) also wants the car. Stuck in the middle, Jim's only way out is to pit the foes against each other in this action adventure.
