Alexander the Great's exploits get reworked in this far-out mixture of anime, sci-fi and fantasy elements, special effects and ancient history. Alexander's comrades and future generals, Hephaestion and Ptolemy, have been recast as courtiers, and his famed horse, Bucephalus, is a flesh-eating monster. Alexander's mother is a sorceress, and his tutor Aristotle has a spunky niece, Cassandra (good news for the budding conqueror).
