When his father dies, ex-football star Walter Clemons (Eriq La Salle) travels back to Los Angeles to settle the family estate, where he must confront the wife and children he abandoned in an alcoholic haze more than half a decade before. Now sober, Walter discovers that reconciliation is neither easy nor something his family necessarily wants. Charles Burnett directs this drama that co-stars Cicely Tyson (in an Emmy-nominated role) and Michael Michele.
