Unbeknownst to Mélancolie "Mellie" Mau (Marlene Jobert), a mysterious stranger is tracking every move she makes, holding off his attack until her husband leaves the house. But his actions yield unexpected consequences for both of them. After enduring a brutal rape, Mellie silences her assailant with a shotgun and dumps his body into the sea, which raises the suspicions of a savvy U.S. colonel (Charles Bronson) who's looking to recover Army cargo.
