As in many small towns, the men leave to find work in the big cities, while the women are left behind to tend the home. But when the men's escapades with prostitutes are exposed, the women find sexual satisfaction elsewhere. After one such illicit rendezvous, one of the village wives announces she's pregnant -- and chaos erupts. Now, as the fate of the wayward woman hangs in the balance, the other wives must decide whether to break their silence.
