Rio Conchos
(1964)|
When a huge shipment of rifles falls into the hands of warring Apaches, a group of social outcasts (Richard Boone, Stuart Whitman, Anthony Franciosa and Wende Wagner) plan a mission to recover the weapons and bring down the lead gunrunner (Edmond O'Brien). Director Gordon Douglas's gritty, emotionally realistic drama helped usher in a new era of films in the Western genre. Franciosa's performance garnered a Golden Globe nomination.
