Road to Rio

  (1947)
In their fifth "road" comedy, Bob Hope and Bing Crosby are framed for starting a fire and hop a boat to Rio de Janeiro. Naturally, they meet Dorothy Lamour there and must rescue her from her evil aunt (Gale Sondergaard, the queen of movie evil aunts). Bing serenades Dorothy with "But Beautiful," and even the Andrews Sisters show up to croon a tune. This was the last "road" picture until Road to Bali in 1952.
