This engrossing series combines the epic sweep of history with the intimate drama of family life as it follows two common soldiers, Lucius Vorenus (Kevin McKidd) and Titus Pullo (Ray Stevenson), whose destinies intermingle with those of the most powerful citizens of ancient Rome. After thwarting a rebellion against Julius Caesar, Lucius and Titus are thrust into the treacherous world of upper-class rivals battling to control the republic.
