Featuring performances by Alessandra Ferri, Wayne Eagling, David Drew, Leslie Edwards, Mark Freeman, Julian Hosking, Stephen Jefferies and Gerd Larsen, this 1984 version of the tragic love story does William Shakespeare proud. With Sergei Prokofiev's haunting music, Kenneth MacMillan's painstaking choreography, lavish costuming and Ashley Lawrence deftly conducting the orchestra, the production is truly a masterpiece.
