This Emmy Award-winning follow-up to the acclaimed TV miniseries "Roots," based on Alex Haley's genealogical novel, picks up after the Civil War during the Reconstruction and chronicles the African-American experience through the 1960s. James Earl Jones stars as Haley, with Al Freeman Jr. as Malcolm X and Marlon Brando as George Lincoln Rockwell. Georg Stanford Brown, Henry Fonda, Olivia de Havilland, Ossie Davis and Ruby Dee also star.
