Offering fellow Cubans passage to America aboard his ferry only to strand them offshore, charming hustler Simón (Jorge Perugorría) finds his luck running out in this incisive character study. With U.S. authorities pursuing Simón's vessel, young deck hand Andrés (Álex González) intercedes to save him. But their new friendship crumbles when Simón takes Andrés to a Havana cathouse to recover -- and he falls for Simón's favorite fille de joie.
