Rose of Washington Square

In this musical drama, singing sensation Rose Sargent (Alice Faye) falls hard for charismatic con man Barton DeWitt Clinton (Tyrone Power) in 1920s New York, but her efforts to keep him out of jail threaten to derail her career as a Ziegfeld girl. Al Jolson co-stars as Sargent's onstage partner who tries, and fails, to help her see Bart's faults. The film features the classic songs "California, Here I Come" and "I'm Just Wild About Harry."
