When this popular sitcom's fifth season rolled around, America was in a deep recession -- and the situation in the Conner household reflects that. Roseanne (Roseanne) is unemployed, Dan (John Goodman) has closed his failing bike shop, and the electricity has been turned off. Not to worry, though: Roseanne and family still find plenty to laugh about as Darlene (Sara Gilbert) turns sweet 16 and D.J. (Michael Fishman) becomes a Peeping Tom.
