Plenty of laughs are in store for the Conner family this season when Darlene moves away to attend art school in Chicago; soap opera characters show up in Lanford; and Dan and Roseanne unearth a vintage bag of marijuana. In other events, Roseanne is kissed by a woman in a gay bar and Jackie becomes pregnant with Fred's baby. A significant cast change occurs this season with Sarah Chalke playing the role of Becky.
