Marilyn Horne lends her sparkling vocals to the lead role of Isabelle in this staging of the opera Gioachino Rossini wrote in less than a month when he was just 21 years old. Directed by Jean-Pierre Ponnelle and conducted by James Levine, this production by the Metropolitan Opera also features the talents of Myra Merritt, Douglas Ahlstedt, Paolo Montarsolo and Allan Monk.
