Benevolent tycoon Ameet (Vinod Mehra) shares the profits of his business with the less fortunate. This galls his partner, childhood friend Nekiram (Mehmood), who's more profit-minded. After a trip to meet his bride-to-be, Ameet returns to find his fortune gone. Shunned by his fiancée and unable to provide for his family, Ameet struggles to find the truth, unaware that it might be closer than he ever imagined.
