Teenager Elizabeth discovers that when it rains, it pours, in this coming-of-age drama. Summertime arrives, and Elizabeth gets her first job as a lifeguard and the same time, develops her first romance. Everything seems to be going well...until her mother suffers a breakdown and has to be hospitalized.
