Saigon: Year of the Cat

A crumbling 1974 Saigon government sets the stage for this BBC drama starring Frederic Forrest as CIA operative Bob Chesneau, who attempts to convince his boss (Josef Sommer) and the U.S. ambassador (E.G. Marshall) that a North Vietnamese takeover is imminent. Directed by Stephen Frears, the production costars Judi Dench as the Saigon-based British bank employee romantically involved with Chesneau, and Roger Rees as her bigoted co-worker.
