This inspirational biopic chronicles the remarkable life of Giovanni Melchiorre Bosco (portrayed by Flavio Insinna), an influential Catholic priest who was also known as St. John Bosco. After growing up fatherless on the mean streets of Turin, Italy, Bosco embraced a life of service and began educating homeless boys through the charitable work of his own religious order, the Salesian Society.
