Love, dance and drama commingle in this Tamil-dubbed version of Sagara Sangamam, helmed by K. Vishwanath. Madhavi (Jayapradha) uses her wealth to help talented but starving dancer Balakrishna (Kamal Hassan) rise to stardom. The dancer's affections for his benefactor grow, but to his dismay, she has an estranged husband. Balakrishna has a hand in reuniting the couple, then spirals into alcohol addiction. Is there any hope left for the fading star?
