An Italian take on two pivotal Old Testament figures, this bisected biblical epic recounts the stories of reluctant paladin Gideon (Ivo Garrani) and muscleman Samson (Anton Geesink). The film begins with the tale of Gideon, an ill-tempered farmer who becomes a hero when he defends the Israelites against the Midianites. Then, scheming Philistine temptress Delilah (Rosalba Neri) proves the downfall of the mighty Samson.
