The enigmatic and brilliant scientist Helen Magnus (Amanda Tapping) leads a team of quirky experts dedicated to providing sanctuary to "abnormals," which most humans consider monsters, in this sci-fi series that uses groundbreaking visual technology. As Helen battles governmental interference, biological weapons and dangerous abnormals, she is aided by Dr. Will Zimmerman (Robin Dunne), her headstrong daughter, Ashley, and tech genius Henry.
