When Yashoda's beloved nephew is killed, she goes mad with despair, and her husband must commit her to an asylum and give their daughter, Asha (Jayapradha), up for adoption. Years later, Asha discovers her mother is alive, only to find her still wracked by grief. But to restore her mother's health and heart, Asha must make the ultimate sacrifice. Directed by K.
