Based on a true story, director Peter Antonijevic's bleak war drama profiles American military liaison Joshua Rose (Dennis Quaid). After his wife and child are killed in a terrorist bombing, Rose joins the French Foreign Legion. Six years later, fighting as a mercenary in the Yugoslav civil war, he saves a pregnant Serbian (Natasa Ninkovic) from a killer Serb (Sergej Trifunovic) and reconnects with his humanity.
