A nuclear accident has caused the earth's tectonic plates to shift, creating earthquakes and volcanic eruptions in Southern California and pushing the Pacific plate to its breaking point. After scientists determine that the only way to stop this natural Armageddon is to detonate a nuclear bomb in Los Angeles, Ryan Beckett (Mark Dacascos) and his team go in to accomplish the impossible.
