This dramedy interweaves two stories that take place in the sizzling Cajun town of Bayou La Teche, La. On her wedding night, reluctant bride Splendid (Emily Lloyd) becomes hysterical at the prospect of losing her virginity. On the other side of town, Splendid's cousin (Jennifer Tilly) discovers that her husband has been sleeping with the local hooker (Faye Dunaway), so she sets out to reel him in. James Earl Jones and Denholm Elliott also star.
