The high seas seize with passion in this swashbuckling period adventure when a handsome smuggler (Rock Hudson) welcomes an alluring countess (Yvonne De Carlo) with murky loyalties aboard his ship in the shadow of Napoleon's reign. Little does he know, she's a spy. The plot thickens when the pair's mutual chemistry ignites, and the so-called royal is forced to reveal which side she's actually working for.
