Although he's happily married, aeronautical engineer Chris (William Shatner) frequently hires prostitutes to fulfill his sexual fantasies. But after falling for high-class hooker Elaine (Cybill Shepherd), Chris finds himself losing control of his life and in trouble with the law. As Elaine begins to reveal her dark side, Chris struggles to maintain normal relationships with his wife, Katie (Michelle Phillips), and their children.
