Seize the Day

Robin Williams turns in a captivating performance in this sleeper. Tommy Wilhelm (Williams) is not only about to turn 40, but he's also experiencing a major midlife crisis: He's unemployed, has no money and feels used and unloved. He even gets the cold shoulder from his dad, who's dissatisfied with Tommy's direction in life. Tommy gets some needed kindness from Doc (Jerry Stiller), a sympathetic practitioner with ulterior motives.
