A manslaughter conviction sends Rommel (Sid Lucero) to a hellhole prison where violence and rape are a way of life. After a vicious attack, the powerful Esteban (Emilio Garcia) agrees to become Rommel's protector and their friendship eventually becomes something deeper. When his sentence is finally up, Rommel returns home to his wife. But when Esteban gets out, the former lovers discover that their jailhouse spark is still burning strong.
