During her summer holiday, Tamai Shiina, a cheerful schoolgirl, befriends a strange-looking creature she names Hoshimaru. When Shiina returns home after the summer to go back to school, she begins meeting kids from a secret psychic society who also have befriended creatures like her new pal. But she soon finds out that not all these creatures and their masters are as friendly as Hoshimaru. Alien attacks ensue in this lively anime series.
