In love and ready for marriage, Geeta (Waheeda Rehman) and Madan (Kamaljit) celebrate with traditional engagement rituals, though Madan's superstitious mother (Achala Sachdev) opposes the union after an astrologer foresees disaster for Madan and his family. Despite the prophecy, the couple weds -- but when the misfortunes begin, Geeta and Madan question their decision. Nazir Hussain and Pratima Devi also star in this Bollywood drama.
