Inspector Ashwini Kumar (Dilip Kumar) is as brave a police officer as they come. He's so upstanding and "by the book" that even when his young son, Vijay, is kidnapped, Kumar will not release a criminal in a tradeoff. Understandably, Vijay grows to manhood resentful that his father didn't put his duty to his family before his job. But when Vijay himself decides to pursue a life of crime, what will his father do?
