This anime series from Japan follows Shana, a pretty girl cloaked in black who battles ethereal beings with a sword. Shana saves teenager Yuji from being eaten by a monster and unwittingly pulls him into her supernatural mission to save the world. Featuring techno music by Ko Otani and animation produced by JC Staff, the sleekly designed show combines striking visuals with appealing, well-developed characters.
