Sharky's Machine

Undercover cop Sharky (Burt Reynolds) bungles a drug raid and promptly gets demoted to the vice squad, where he assembles his "machine" -- a band of tough-as-nails investigators willing to take on the hardest cases. Together, they pursue an infamous Atlanta mobster (Vittorio Gassman) whose top hooker (Rachel Ward) is a love magnet for Sharky. This taut thriller features a famed sequence in which a stuntman jumps 16 floors from a high-rise.
