Maverick British officer Richard Sharpe (Sean Bean ) is fighting against Napoleon in 19th century Spain, and action follows him as he risks his life. After a well-deserved rest, he is driven back to the army by news of Napleon's return. Organizing the defense at the farm of La Haye Sainte, Sharpe and his men end up playing a key role in one of Britain's most famous victories, the Battle of Waterloo.
