When she learns that Charles Marlow (Mark Dexter), the man she hopes to marry, is painfully uncomfortable around upper-class women, Kate Hardcastle (Susannah Fielding) poses as a poor barmaid to put the gentleman at ease. But when it becomes apparent that Charles has fallen for her, Kate wonders if he'll still feel the same once she reveals her true self. Roy Marsden and Miles Jupp also star in this lively adaptation of Oliver Goldsmith's play.
