Billy "Shiner" Simpson (Michael Caine) is an ambitious boxing promoter with some not-so-legitimate practices. The mobster organizes a world-title bout in England, betting everything he has on his boxer son. But, on what should have been the proudest day of Shiner's life, his son throws the fight and ultimately ends up dead. Shiner must evade the police while seeking revenge against his son's killer.
