In search of his lost love, Xiu Xiu, Chinese native Steelhead journeys to Tokyo, where he leads a hardscrabble immigrant life with fellow refugees Jie and Old Ghost. Complications mount when Steelhead finds Xiu Xiu married to a Japanese mobster.
