When cameras capture detective Mitch Preston (Robert De Niro) flying off the handle after patrolman Trey Sellars (Eddie Murphy) bungles a drug bust, he's suspended from the force ... and will only be allowed to return if he agrees to star in a reality TV show about cops. The prospect seems even more unappealing when Mitch learns that his new partner on the show will be the bumbling but camera-friendly Trey, an aspiring actor.
