Performance artist Bob Flanagan suffered from cystic fibrosis throughout his short life. This disturbing, poignant and very funny documentary examines his personal odyssey to gain a measure of control over his body by inflicting pain on himself. We learn about his fight against the illness, the creative -- and disturbing -- things he did to his ailing body and the importance of his long-term dominatrix/partner, Sheree Rose.
