Reporter Helen Greg (Lorraine Bracco) gives birth to a stillborn child ... or does she? As she struggles to regain some semblance of normality, she uncovers a shocking scam industry in which babies are stolen and given up for adoption. She must also contend with an angry husband (R.H. Thomson) and assorted sleazoids (John Heard and Jason Gedrick) who want the nosy reporter silenced -- permanently!
